Creating Your Own Irresistible Offer

How To Create Your Irresistible Offer

shopping cartWith all the noise online these days you need your offer to really stand out from others to be noticed. One great way to do that is to personalize your offer.

Personalizing your offer will make it stand apart from everything else similar out there. Personalizing your offer might include a short personal coaching session,  maybe even a Webinar or some sort of live training to answer any questions they may have. Another way to make your offer stand out is to let them to pick and choose from your available products to create their own  custom package to suit their unique needs.

First, you are going to need to take a long, hard look at your current offer.

Brainstorm about what enhancements might be right for your niche. In some markets you may need to sell your offer at a super low price point and then pack it full of value, more value than anyone else in your niche is providing. Look at this from the customers perspective. Invest some time to look at what your competitors within your niche are doing, then raise the bar.

A great example of this would be Steven Alvey’s “Signature Series” PLR launch. The PLR niche is full of products with mindmaps and other possible small enhancements you can think of to the point of it being impossible to differentiate between competitive offers. Literally everyone seems to be offering the same kind of package.

Steven wanted his line of “Warlord Signature Series PLR” to stand out from all that, to clearly offer a superior alternative to all those “me too” PLR products. So rather than simply hiring a professional to narrate the videos, Alvey sought out some of the most respected people in Internet marketing and convinced them to present the material for each topic.

The result: a total funnel gross of $150,000.00+ and counting. This in a niche where launches are considered a big success by grossing only $15,000.00 – $20,000.00.

The object here is convincing your potential customer that there is absolutely no reason to even consider buying any other offer except yours.

Just by figuring this out and then incorporating that into an offer you can dramatically increase your conversion rates. Almost without exception, even with crappy sales copy. This only fails if your copy is so confusing they can’t even understand the offer.

When it comes to the offer itself, you can directly compare what others are offering to your offer within your sales copy. This will further drive home the value of your offer to people.

Straight out tell them that no one else offers the same things you offer, especially for the small investment you offer it for.

advertise-766823_1280

Think about ways to make your offer better than any other offer that’s on the market. Then show your prospects how your offer is better than every other offer out there.

When you’re writing copy for your offer include all the elements you would normally place in a sales letter, and don’t forget to use the power of psychology and emotion in your sales copy. People like to rationalize a purchase logically, but the final determination on rather or not to purchase an offer is an emotional based decision for the majority of people.

Your end goal should be to massively increase the conversion rate on  your current sales copy and continue this for every bit of sales copy you write from there on.sale_640

To truly optimize your conversions split test different versions against each other and use the variations that convert the best to fine hone your conversions. Changing the wording of a section to be clearer or placing emphasis on an emotional aspect can further boost your conversions.

Don’t make big changes. Concentrate on one paragraph or section at a time until you have optimized your entire sales letter. Yes, it can take some time to get everything right. The benefits of having a high converting offer by far outweigh the time and effort required to fine tune your offer.

Why Your Offer Is The Most Important Part of the Promotion

There are many different things that go into writing effective sales copy. For the best results you want to get it all right. Your goal should be to make your sales copy so effective that your target audience simply can’t help but buy your product.

Sales

With all the focus on creating a compelling sales copy there’s something far too many people miss when it comes to writing great copy. The most important piece of a great promotion is not the copy, it’s the offer itself.

You could have the most carefully crafted sales copy in the world, but with a lackluster offer you may indeed accomplish your goal of get people to read down to the bottom of your sales letter, but they still aren’t going to buy.ecstatic-2821540_640

On the other hand you may have horrible sales copy but still make sales, at least to the brave ones who make it to the bottom of the page and see how enticing your offer is.

Remember, the object here is to get people to BUY. What you are shooting for here is to make your offer so good that the rest of the copy is almost superfluous. You want people to see your offer and buy right away, without even bothering to look at the sales page because the offer is just that good.

Does Your Offer Stack Up?

So, is your offer really so good that people can’t stand to pass it up?

Yes, it’s important to have great copy and to use the psychology of sales when writing copy. But, the real test is can your offer stand alone and still convert well?

ecommerce-2140603_1280

Think about your current offer. Are people blown away when they see all they’re getting?

Bonuses can add a great deal to the value of a product, but only when they are well matched to the main offer. Think about your offer within the context that it will be used, what else will they need to make the most out of your offer.

Want to sell more high ticket products?  The same principle holds true with big ticket items. Wow people with everything that’s included in your offer. Add so much perceived value that it’s instantly visible that your offer is amazing and they would be crazy to pass it up.

You can also introduce scarcity to your offer to get people who are “on the fence” to take advantage of the opportunity. If your offer is available only for a very limited time and will soon be completely gone, possibly forever, then many more people will be sure to take you up on that offer right away.

This taps into the basic human fear commonly referred to as FOMO, or Fear Of Missing Out. The very idea that others, (very possibly even their direct competition in their niche!) could use the product to gain a competitive edge is often enough to prompt a sales frenzy.

However, even scarcity can not save a B.S. offer. Poop is smelly, there’s no way around it. Take the effort to make your offer too good to pass up and you will always be well rewarded for your efforts.

How To Get The Most Value From Your Autoresponder

Autoresponder Series: Setting Up Your Most Valuable Asset

In this post I’m going to explain how to use autoresponders effectively in your email marketing. Learn how to do this and you can completely transform your email marketing into your number one asset to the benefit of both you and your business.

What Are Autoresponder Emails?

Autoresponder emails are simply marketing emails that go out on a schedule. All professional autoresponder companies, like Aweber and GetResponse, in addition to allowing you to manage your lists and store your emails, you also have the option to schedule them to be sent on a certain date, at a time you choose.

The benefit of autoresponder emails is that there are bound to be times when you don’t want the same email to go out to everyone on your list at the same time. You want someone who joins your list today to get the first email in a sequence. You want someone who joins your list next week to get the first email in a sequence.

Autoresponders are really convenient. People can get your emails in the order you want them to get them in. This also allows you to do a lot of your email marketing hands-off. You don’t have to manually do everything. You can schedule autoresponder emails to go out and set up a list-building funnel that works for you day and night.

The emails might be informative, promote your products, or promote the products of others. That’s up to you, the important part is if you want hands free income you need to use autoresponder series in your email marketing.

How an Autoresponder Account Works

Take some time to log into your autoresponder account so you can get a feel for how it works. If you don’t yet have an autoresponder account, Aweber is the company I use, and they are a great option. Read through the help pages if you have any problems.

You’ll set up a list and add in all of your information. If you have never done that, then just watch the video here to see how it’s done…

Adding Your First List To Your Autoresponder Account

Then, you can load up a sequence of autoresponder emails and determine the intervals between when the emails go out. You might load up 7 emails and schedule one to go out every day, every 3 days, or whatever works for you.

Don’t spread out the time between emails too far. The main purpose of any email autoresponder series is to engage your prospect and keep their interest peaked. Waiting too long between emails can cause you to lose their attention to the others flooding their inbox with shiny objects. For most situations you probably want to stick to a maximum of three day between emails in an autoresponder series.

The exception to that is if you are providing actionable content in your autoresponder series that the prospect needs to complete before receiving the next email. In that case be sure to check in every couple of days to help your prospects stay on track.

Never done it? See this video for directions…

The Best Autoresponder For Internet Marketing

Rating Autoresponder Companies For Internet Marketers

As I’ve stated in earlier posts, I personally use Aweber. However, GetResponse, SendLane, and Active Content are also great choices for people promoting digital products.

Aweber is considered the “Gold” standard in professional autoresponders by many. They have earned their reputation by delivering countless emails for many top email marketers reliably for longer than anyone else.

Aweber probably has the easiest user interface to learn of all the autoresponder services listed here. Add that to their very complete free training and you have a great choice for those who are new to email marketing.

GetResponse is by far the hardest service for email marketers to use affiliate links on. If you plan on using GetResponse and you primarily promote affiliate products you will need to use a URL shortener or link cloaker of some kind unless you want to create a landing page on one of your sites for every campaign.

GetResponse has better automation features than the others listed with the exception of Active Content which offers a true CRM allowing you to segment users into target groups by the actions they take.

SendLane is somewhere in the middle with analytics and automation. SendLane is very popular among digital marketers because they don’t make a fuss about affiliate links.

SendLane has a relatively simple interface and sports opt in form templates made for digital marketers doing email marketing.

Active Content is easily the most advanced of the listed autoresponder services. As stated above, they offer a highly functional tool for providing the right content to prospects at the proper time in the sales process. This can have a huge impact on the number of sales you get from your email marketing.

Active Content rivals Aweber in the ability to get your emails into the in-box of your prospects.

But you do pay a bit of a price for all those crazy powerful tools. Active Content has one of the more challenging interfaces to master. It’s not that everything is laid out poorly, is just there is so much…

There are many others out there, but the services listed above are affordable and time-tested. No matter what you’re doing in business, you’ll typically be covered with either Aweber or GetResponse.

Many people like MailChimp, just note that they don’t tend to care for those who promote affiliate offers, so that something to note if you’re an affiliate marketer.

Take a look at the help documents and different offers of these three companies, or of another reputable company someone you trust has recommended.

Don’t Wait Another Day

Hopefully, you can see that paying a little bit of money ($10-$20 a month to start) is well worth it when it comes to getting your emails delivered, easily managing your list, having tools to build your list, getting your emails opened, and making sales.

Boosting Conversions With Social Proof

Gaining Their Trust With Testimonials

The second thing that you can do to overcome skepticism is create testimonials, and these are in order.  Sometimes the testimonials is people have already seen your testimonials in the past.  I don’t use a lot of testimonials when I launch to my list because they’ve already been exposed to my testimonials in the past.  But if you’re starting with a cold crowd, it’s always good to have testimonials.

Sometimes if it’s going to delay you from getting it out there, just put it out there anyway and then get the testimonials later.  But testimonials guarantee that you’re going to help you overcome skepticism.  So the more, the better.  So if you get too many, figure out another way to do it.

Ways To Collect Testimonials For Your Products Before They Even Launch

And then creating a testimonial campaign.  This is something that you want to do if you’re going to collect testimonials.

So what you can do is before the launch you can ask for feedback on a forum.  So find the most popular forum related to whatever you’re creating a product for and say, “Hey, I’m going to be offering this product, and I’m going to sell it in the future.  But first I wanted to get people to have review copies.  So all’s I want from you is some feedback on this product — what you liked about it,” and so on and so forth.  “I’ll be giving this away to five or ten people.”

So when your product’s done, you give it away.  You get some feedback and then you ask them once they give you your feedback, “Can I edit this and put it into a testimonial and put it on the site?  Would that be okay?”  And a lot of them will say yes — 8 out of 10 of them say, “Okay.  Yeah, sure.  No problem.”  That’s how you get testimonials.  It’s the easiest thing in the world.

What I personally like to do now because I favor speed is I launch it in a public format.  So in this case you could either launch it for free on the blog and then have people post their feedback right on the blog to get the second half of the report or a bonus, or you could simply launch it in a forum where people actually can reply in a public format on the forum by giving you their feedback right there in the launch.

Or this is another one that I do.  After the launch I send out an autoresponder asking for feedback.  I basically say “What results have you gotten so far with __________?”

Why You Are Failing At Affiliate Marketing

marketing_640

If you find yourself asking “Why are my affiliate marketing efforts not working?” you aren’t alone. Anyone can make an affiliate marketing program work and become successful at it but there are several things that you need to make sure of to be able to find success.

Your affiliate marketing efforts are going to need a program which allows you to be promoting something that you are interested in. With affiliate marketing you must concentrate on products that are high quality and target a growing market.

Finally, make sure your affiliate marketing efforts are also going to be well rewarded when you make a sale. Affiliate marketing takes actual effort to be successful. Don’t waste your time promoting products with low commission rates.

In order for your affiliate marketing business to be successful, especially if you are relatively new to affiliate marketing, you need to be promoting something that you have an interest in. It helps if you are passionate about it or at least coming with a good background in the field pertaining to the product or service. The reason is, you are going to have to find some way to connect with those who would be interested.

To be credible and effective, you are going to have to know what those interested in it are really wanting to know. If it is something you are interested in you are going to know all the right answers. You are going to know who, what, where, when, why, and how. You know the questions to ask, and you know what answers are going to give them confidence. You also know how to look for what really works.

With affiliate marketing you will want to be promoting something that is a high quality product or service. First it will help you feel good about what you are doing in offering the people who need this something that will actually help. This limits refunds and makes for happy customers which is good because you do want to have them returning to you for more recommendations. Once they know that you are going to be pointing them towards something that they can trust, they will look for your guidance more often. Look for products and services that have favorable testimonials. Sharing these will help bring added credibility.

businessman-3189794_1280

The good affiliate marketing program that will help you be successful will be one that caters to growing markets. Find a wave and ride it. Just try to find a wave that isn’t dissipating. Look at the things that you are most interested in and see which one has the largest number of people interested in it. Be on the lookout for markets that are expanding.

Most affiliate networks have some sort of listing of their top sellers giving you invaluable insights about the number of people promoting the product, conversion rate, and refund rate. Don’t just blindly promote the products selling the most units. Look at the total picture

Speaking of conversion rates…

A product with a high conversion rate can make the difference between a single sale, and multiple sales for the same amount of work. Look for products that convert at 10% or above with refunds in the 1-5% range to maximize your results.

Also make sure that the compensation will be worth your affiliate marketing efforts. You may often end up put a lot of energy and time and maybe even some good money into promoting the product or service. If a product doesn’t pay out a good commission, it may not be worth  the effort required to promote it. Finding something that is really going to reward your affiliate marketing efforts will make you want to work harder.

Pay attention to those things, and affiliate marketing success will be yours.

Creating Trust With A Strong Guarantee

Gain Your Prospects Trust By Offering A Strong Guarantee

The best kind of guarantees are ones that are tied to very specific results.  Let me give you an example of what I’m talking about.

A few years a product launched called 4-Minute Squeeze Page, we’re going to take a look at the guarantee for that.  There’s a couple good illustrations there how you can do this.  One of the first things you see on the page is this — “Guaranteed to double your money back.  How to create a 25 percent converting squeeze page in under 4 minutes.”  Then, when you look at the guarantee, there is absolutely no risk.  The text reads:  “This package comes with a double your money back guarantee.  If, in the next 56 days,” ( a very specific number ) “you can show me one squeeze page you created that took you longer than 4 minutes to create and it didn’t convert at 25 percent or better, just let me know and I’ll send you double your money back.”

In this case the product creator made the guarantee bold and tied it to a specific result. If the buyer can’t create a squeeze page in 4 minutes or less and have it convert at 25 percent, all they need to do is show the seller in the next 56 days.  So it’s tied to a specific result.

Note the offer does not say anything about guaranteeing your money back.  You are guaranteeing they’re going to have this amazing result or get their money back.  The product creator even made it part of the opening copy, effectively selling the guarantee right away.  “You can do this or you’re going to get double your money back.”  This offer stood out and sold very well thanks to the double your money back guarantee.

And so all of those things are super duper important because it’s absolutely going to sell out because by doing something no one else in the industry typically does, which is offer you double your money back.  Make it part of the opening copy, and always tie your guarantee to a specific result.

When you’re creating your guarantees, you should do the same thing.  The inspiration for this comes from marketing legend Gary Halbert.  What you’re going to want to do is create a “swipe file” by finding all the great ads with the best guarantees you can find that are tied to specific results. You are looking for examples that really stand out. Then what you’re going to do is whenever you have to write sales copy, you just look at those.  After a bit of practice it just becomes natural.

That is how you can overcome skepticism by leading with a strong guarantee.
